“Jasmine embodies the ideal teacher—she puts the youth above all else while committing to each young person and her community. ”
Jasmine is a first-year teacher at an elementary school in Dorchester, MA. According to Jasmine, "Our mission is to ensure that every child’s individual academic and social needs are met through a rich, rigorous, and multi-sensory education. We believe that every child has the ability to reach his or her highest academic and social potential."
Having grown up in Boston, Jasmine is committed to the sustained support of her students, believing that consistency is important. She wants to ensure that her students have access to the materials they need to thrive as scholars and leaders. Funds will be used for a media based library with appropriately leveled and culturally relevant books, membership to online reading and math programs, school supplies, and organizational equipment that will make the classroom more accessible for all students.
